The Adelaide Adrenaline is pleased to announce they have secured Ross Noga as Team Manager for the 2010 season. Born in North Vancouver, Canada Ross has a long history as a player, referee and Manager.
Ross brings over 35 years involvement in the sport of Ice Hockey and a wealth of experience as Team Manager, beginning in 1997 with the Goodall Cup win in Adelaide. Ross was also instrumental in the forming of the Inaugural Adelaide Avalanche. Ross was instrumental in obtaining quality imports along with the local talent and helping the Avalanche win back to back championships in 2000, 2001.
After the 2002 season Ross joined the National Team Program as Team Manager of the Under 20 Australian Team and after a disappointing 2003 championship in Turkey he was a part of the first ever U20 Gold Medal win in Bulgaria. Ross continued this path with the Junior team until 2007 when he was asked to take over the Team Manager’s role with the Australian Senior Team.
The first year of Managing the Senior team it brought the ultimate satisfaction of being involved in the Senior team and winning the Gold Medal in front of the home crowd in Newcastle Australia in 2008 and being promoted to Division 1, although a disappointing outcome in Division 1 it was a rewarding experience being involved at the level just below the professionals.
After the 2009 World Championships Ross stepped down as Team manager of the National Team to take some time off but has decided that there is still fire in the belly to be involved and he is looking forward to be given the opportunity to work with Head Coach Mike Gainer all the other officials as well as the players and will give all his hard work and passion for the sport to help the Adrenaline become back to back champions in 2010.
